A few years ago, I started developing custom software applications and websites for various clients. Below is a list of the most recent projects I have worked on. If you wish to hire me and feel would like a sample to be made then please request one so that I can prove myself to you. Software Development

Milton High School Lesson Plan Manager

Visit Website

This project was completed in Fall 2006. I was contracted by Milton High School of the Santa Rosa County School District in Milton, Florida to develop this web application to manage and report the lesson plans of the faculty at the school. The main purpose of this information system was to enable the principal to overlook the course organization of the teachers at the school as well as offering teachers an organized method of storing their lesson plans. The system was also helpful in reporting lesson plans to assistant teachers. The project used ASP (VBScript) and Access. I also created the look and feel of the application. The application uses valid XHTML and CSS.

Tools used: Microsoft Visual InterDev, Microsoft Access, Adobe Photoshop

Facebook Bulletins

Visit Website

This project was started in Fall 2006. MySpace.com, a social networking website like Facebook, had a Bulletins feature while Facebook did not. Me and a few of my acquaintances decided that Facebook needed a Bulletins feature as well, and through the use of the Facebook Platform, I added the feature to Facebook. The Facebook application was nearly completed. However, all interest died out and the application was left unfinished. The application used PHP 5 and MySQL.

Tools used: Facebook Platform, Adobe Dreamweaver, and MySQL Administrator

Christine C. Photo Manager

Visit Website

This project was completed in Summer 2006. Sacrifice Designs, a web-design studio, contracted me to create a web application for one of their projects so that their client could upload and manage their photo gallery dynamically. The application was created using PHP 4 and MySQL and supports form-based uploading as well as sorting and deleting of photographs in the gallery. It was fitted to their web-design.

Web / Graphics Design

Jonathan Potts Website and Blog

The initial web design was completed in Spring 2007 and has been maintained since then. It is the design for my personal website. I created the web design itself as well as many of the graphics used within it. The web design was created as a theme for the WordPress publishing platform and uses Web 2.0 practices. The web design is also XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.1 compliant. It uses custom PHP hacks as well as JavaScript.

Tools used: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, WordPress

Linden Software Logo

Visit Website

I made the original logo as part of a new website template I was designing, but was purchased by Linden Software in Spring 2006 before the template was finished. The logo was originally designed as a generic software company logo. The left and right angled brackets signify the brackets the are wrapped around tags for HTML and XML. The logo was created using a modern style with colors that emphasize professionalism.
