About

I am Jonathan Potts and I currently reside near Pensacola, Florida. I am 19 years old and a junior at the University of West Florida as a computer science major. My declared minor is management information systems.

Computers have always had an important role in my life and I work with them daily. My computer skills include programming, web design, graphic design, video editing, repair, and technical support. With my various computer skills, I am often made a project leader.

Religion plays an important factor in my life and I am Christian by faith but there are several mainstream beliefs and viewpoints that I feel are not appropriate for me to believe in. I believe in a form of karma as well as meditation and believe that they are important to being a better person. I consider myself to be compassionate and feel that what goes around will come around.

I am a fourth generation Japanese American and I have a strong interest in Japan, Japanese culture, and Japanese cuisine. Other interests of mine include travelling, roller coasters, and music. Music genres that I enjoy include rock, pop, classical, and Japanese music. Occasionally, you may find me playing video games on my free time. My favorite video game genre is role-playing with adventure, strategy, platform, and shooter falling short behind. I also like science-fiction, thriller, action, and anime television shows and movies. My favorite food is sushi.

I am somewhat of an introvert and can have a hard time interacting with people until I get to know them well. I am very analytical and sometimes I accidently overanalyze things. I have an open mind and I prefer it when others have an open mind as well. I have ideas and beliefs that I feel are important to keep but I am interested in new ones out of intellectual curiosity. As such I consider myself as moderate when it comes to my political viewpoint and I dislike it when people are so conservative that anything that challenges their viewpoint even slightly can lead to them being overly defensive.

I enjoy the company of others, but when there is nobody around I know how to keep myself entertained and productive.
